Sandi Crawford moved from the DC area to Severna Park in June 2012 with her three children and became interested in Creating Communities when she was seeking volunteer opportunities in the Severna Park/Annapolis area. She currently works as a Senior Contracts and Grants administrator at The Urban Institute, a non-profit public policy research institute in Washington, DC. She has done frequent volunteer work for the AA Co. SPCA and recently helped organize a 5k Race and Fun Walk to raise funds for SPAN, a charity organization in Severna Park which provides assistance (food, medications, financial assistance) to local residents who are in crisis situations.
Sandi loves to draw and paint and has worked as a photographer for a national distributed music magazine and website. She has always had a boundless love for the arts and has tried to instill that same love in her three children. She believes that children are creative by nature and should be learning that creative talents are cherished things and can be used in awe-inspiring ways.
